The food in Switzerland is thanks to the Turks. Can't imagine choking down that overpriced stodge before the swarthyfolk got to Confoederatio Helvetica.

haha i can already see why switzerland has such a bad reputation some of those swiss air people were immediately obnoxious af. many jerks. not too different
from that swiss german guy i used to know. claiming he was balling out of control then cheap! truly a miserable people. they make other europeans seem chill.
the funny thing is i always wanted to tour all of the mountain towns, but honestly i can see nice mountains in italy and france too! this also is more of a
winter destination.

the problem with the swiss is they mostly seem to lack manners. i guess they are underpaid in an overpriced country so misery follows.

Its a great summer destination. The valleys are all green lots of waterfalls and wild flowers. Looks like those ricola commercials

If you don't see some mountain towns you should have just skipped Switzerland

Zermatt is one of the coolest tourist towns I have been in. Very good vibe. No car traffic. You can cablecar to forgot the name of tallest peak in Alps.

Other cool cities too.

Never had a bad experience with Swiss but most people working in hospitality are not Swiss at all.

Zermatt is among the best best places I've been skiing. I went waaaaay out of my way to ski there, taking several days for a layoever in Zurich on my way to
South Africa, about ten years ago. Even had to rent ski clothes on-site, since I'd flown out of wintertime DC packed for December-January summer in the southern
hemisphere.

Agreed on the Swiss people, at least the Krautish-speaking ones.

I do hope to eventually see some of the high end resorts like Saint Moritz in winter, but for now, back in Italy. I may also eventually take a long train ride
out there. Switzerland is packaged up nicely, but inside the package, you realize some weirdos. Also, yeah I can tell the difference between a Balkan immigrant
or child of immigrants versus some heritage Swiss person. Not at all mistaking foreigners for Swiss by attributing bad behavior of foreigners to the Swiss. The
Swiss (heritage Swiss that is) seem to just have many rude people amongst them. Sometimes even downright hostile and creating their own rules to inconvenience
people. More so than the stereotype attributed to the French. I’ve also known some rude people in Italy who really lack etiquette and wow, I cannot believe
the Swiss make these people seem chill. I do eventually want to see Liechtenstein, but lol I imagine they are even more catty than the Swiss.

There are some nice alps in Italy and France too. ahhahaha! Lucerne may have better vibes than Zurich. Paying like 20 Swiss francs for coffee and water is
pretty nuts too!

Dutch are direct people, but they can at least be funny and quirky. Germany itself is sort of dependent on the region. When I was in Finland two years ago, the
people in Helsinki seemed more Nordic but when I got to Kitee there was more of a Baltic sort of Eastern feel and I did karaoke all night with some pretty crazy
people. It felt cool like we stepped back into the 1980s. Interesting language. I ended up in Kitee because I had a weird friend who was a nightwish fan. Metal
is not my thing at all, but each to their own. lol.

I think Icelandic people are very nice in general.

Anyway, at least Zurich has some direct flights to various parts of Italy if somebody wants to avoid Fiumicino which can be a bit much as an airport in the
summer.
