The formulas for Diet Coke and Zero Sugar coke are significantly different. Same for Diet Dr. Pepper and Zero Sugar Dr. Pepper. I honestly prefer the Diet
formulas over Zero Sugar, and I think a lot of people feel the same way.

I have heard Coke zero is supposed to taste similar to normal coke and diet coke has its own taste. After becoming addicted to diet coke while studying for the
bar, I started to hate normal coke feeling normal coke was too syrupy and not fizzy. With regard to the diet coke vs coke zero war, I preferred diet coke at
first too but my office and family buy coke zero so I became accustomed to it.

anyway people who were already used to the taste of diet coke and do not miss normal coke will likely never turn to coke zero. i have no preference and will
even take a diet rite. my drink of choice is diet dr pepper though when available or dr pepper zero.
