Google and stalking
Here are several articles that highlight how google is used to stalk and another article which shows Google has now taken steps to stop doxing. Stalkers
oftentimes try to justify their harassment of others by stating they are just getting publicly available information. However, prior to Google, this information
wouldn’t have been easily accessible even if technically public. Likewise, in other countries, citizens have the right to have information removed from
Google. Your number may be listed, but does this mean you want it on a billboard on the expressway?
Americans (at least private people who are not public figures) deserve a right to privacy.

I hear you, however, I disagree. If you want to be a hermit outside of society, that is your right-- nothing is stopping you from moving to where no one can
find you, ever. But when you live in an actual country and participate in society, file a lawsuit, get married or divorced, have a birth or death, file a will
or trust, own an airplane, have a radio station, or otherwise make a record required by law, you are exchanging the rights given or protected by your society
for disclosure of your information in some fashion. Aggregating the information and filtering it for relevance is the business of news and publicity. It's
relevant when Taylor Swift travels because people care about her and want a window into her life. It's not the aggregator's problem if a criminal does
something crazy just because it's easier to go to the aggregator than other sources. Similarly, anybody can hire a private investigator and find or even follow
anybody, and it's not illegal unless it falls within the stalking law. I am a firm believer in freedom of information, and if people don't like it, they can
elect to live as hermits like some people already do.

People also deserve to move on from divorces and stuff and not be precluded from jobs and wear a Scarlett letter forever. Swift is a public figure and has money
to defend herself, but many other victims of doxing and stalking do not have her resources.
