worst JDU posts ever

I remember a certain poster posted about his crossfit class several years back. he was amused that some 60 year old woman had fallen and fainted during class,
or injured herself, or something to that effect. he thought it was the funniest thing. it sounded like he moped around smirking while she came to.

it was then that i realized this was a terrible person.

i remember a certain poster posted about his document review sweatshop job taken in a developing country. it was clearly a mistake he took the job and he seemed
to be subconsciously regretting it. there was a transference of anger from himself for making the wrong decision, to his coworkers. he raged at how incompetent,
stupid they were, and basically brought things to such a point that it was inevitable he was fired or had to resign in a hurry, instead of just quitting
normally.

it was then that i realized that this was a very troubled person.

i remember a certain poster, circa when the cosmos series was restarted with neil degrasse tyson as the host, complaining that this was some sort of terrible
choice for the host and merely a diversity hire. i remember being really surprised that a middling or failing attorney with no math skills and no social skills,
would shit on a harvard-columbia phd in astrophysics, who was a tango dance champion. 

it was then that i realized this was a person lacking in self-awareness.

i remember a certain poster, working in a remote chinese village with a population of 1 million, posting late night pictures of a half empty scotch bottle and
his stale pipe tobaccco. this poster was missing his family, his friends, mexican food and coffee creamer, and it seemed that strangely, jdu was his sole social
outlet.

it was then that i realized my life was miserable.

The worst JDU post of all time was by yours truly.  Someone else had posted about different methods of suicide and they may have been thinking of harming
themselves, although I was not sure.  So I went ahead and talked in the abstract about a method that would result in certain death and never being found, while
also having it be determined to be accidental.  Thus, easier on the family and potentially easier on the life insurance.  Feeling really guilty about that, even
years later.

i vaguely remember that. i even vaguely remember a new poster randomly posting they were suicidal, but it was not clear whether this was a joke or not, someone
using a fake handle just to make a dumb joke. who knows. 

anyway, no one knew how to take it. the new poster played it straight and eventually it ended with a general chorus of, 'don't do it' and then the poster never
resurfaced. that was disturbing.
