Sad, will slightly raise insurance premiums for homeowners either way.  Disasters are magnified when the loss is bigger...I hope they don't fall, as much as I
dislike entitled rich people.

I own a hurricane-bait house on the Texas coast that I've been meaning to sell. It's hard to think about right now though, since I'm locked in at 3.25%.

Mosquitoes aren't too bad. It's hot and humid for much of the year, but that doesn't bother me too much. I've had to learn to watch my mouth on political
matters though, since the Gulf Coast of Texas isn't like Dallas or Houston or certainly not Austin.

It depends. My house is on Galveston island, in the urban part on the East End. There's a lot of Cajuns there who resettled from Louisiana after Katrina, and
they have a distinctive accent. Generally, it's Texas.
