Need some advice.

I have really only used Clio. Don’t know how others compare. I guess all of
them can be ok once you become comfortable.

I have my own custom platform, and that is the way to go. It handles all my
task, time, file, and billing management. But the coolest feature is being able
to see from the web interface all the emails my colleagues have exchanged with
clients. Helpful when someone is out of town, etc. I also am working on a
semi-automated document generation feature where you fill in some fields and get
beautiful letters and pleadings back. I'm presenting my work at a conference in
July.

I should mention that calendar integration is next. I already run Radicale,
which is a free CalDAV server, and it handles my law firm calendaring. So I
just need to have my existing application calculate dates, generate .ics files,
and send calendar invitations. Should be done by July.

Andy, what were you running before you set up your customized platform?

@2tierrealityTest I didn't have anything before my platform, which I
started using in 2017. Before then, it was a combination of manual billing and
a file server, that's it. Many lawyers I know have MyCase, Clio, or the other
big boys. Everyone who has seen my system loves it, they just won't pay for it
because they don't believe I can do technical support. Lol.

One of my new Law Interns is a computer science major and we're going to do a
proper desktop application for this system as well. Will be amazing.
