I've been in a trial all week in which wealthy Chinese ladies are battling for control of their nonprofit
The judge has made it no secret that he does not want to be here or decide this case. It's an interesting one because this one is all about the Chinese
diaspora in Eastern Los Angeles County. I will tell you this: the Pomona courthouse and downtown Pomona are the worst court location I have ever seen, worse
even than San Joaquin County Superior Court. I felt like I was in a third world country when we were forced to eat at Luchador yesterday. In addition to
terrible food and service, there were murals of luchadores on the walls and this was not a fit for my Chinese-American client and her supporters. It has been
interesting and dramatic so far. Tomorrow is the last day and I hope to god we finish the trial so I can go home to my family.

We finished early and I went home, although 150 emails and a draft joint case management statement were waiting for me when I got home at 8 p.m. This is no
joke. My Of Counsel family law attorney is going on maternity leave in July and I am so screwed!
