when the shooting first happened, i was in the car listening to the radio and
did not hear the entire report. just that he shot somebody on a movie set. i
thought for a minute that maybe he went crazy and went on a shooting spree. lol.

actually i shouldn’t lol, a poor woman died. it’s an overall terrible story.
should have never never happened. there just shouldn’t be loaded guns on film
sets.

From a purely legal perspective, it's a fascinating study in "proximate cause".
At a purely human level, it's tragedy, for sure. Even if you don't like Alec
Baldwin, I can't imagine he doesn't feel terrible for being a party to this poor
woman's death.
Here's a thought: commercial planes have a pilot and a co-pilot. Maybe every
movie set should have an armorer and a co-armorer - no exceptions.
It makes me think of how many single failure points exist in our society these
days, and how lax we've become. We used to be an "overbuilt" for safety's sake
society. Now we're a "just in time inventory" society.

I haven't kept up with this closely. What did he know about the gun? I mean,
you hand a Hollywood star a gun for a movie, of course he is going to fire
it.
