Andy from private IP /all I put a Street Fighter II: Champion Edition replica arcade machine in the Trial Laboratory This is the one I got: https://arcade1up.com/collections/trending-now/products/street-fighter-deluxe My colleagues at work were saying that it might cheapen the environment, however, I disagree. I think it adds a nice touch of visual flair to the space. I'm also getting Mortal Kombat II from the same company, which is called Arcade1Up. Let me be clear: these are not actual arcade machines. They are more like 3/4-scale novelty replicas, and it shows in the cheap, wobbly construction of the cabinet that you self-assemble. The good news is that the display and controller modules can be separated from the rest of the cabinet, so what I could do is build a custom cabinet or console/mount for the displays and controllers that would be more stable and potentially more attractive to use. The really cool part of this is that it's internet-connected over either Wifi or Ethernet, and you can play against people around the country. I like how it has about a dozen games on it, and the setup was a breeze. It also has an audio jack, so I can switch out the OEM speakers or even put an external set of studio monitors in place for better sound. That would be great, because the Street Fighter II soundtrack is one of the greatest of all time, and the OEM speakers do not do it justice. It also has a USB connector, but I'm not sure what that is for. Could be cool to have the option of an Xbox controller or something. I played a client on this yesterday and basically destroyed him. I should have a standing offer: if any client beats me in a two out of three set of matches, they get a $500 account credit. #LawFirm #Technology _reply Wed, 14 Aug 2024 21:31:21 -0700
whiteguyinchina from private IP /all I bought my son a handheld arcade game basically similar to a Playstation for about 35 USD. It has 3000 games, mostly old ones. I am sure street fighter is on there. I am certain these things are made in china at some factory possibly near the place where the factory I work for is located _reply Tue, 20 Aug 2024 05:04:15 -0700
2tierreality from private IP /all If you want to go full on liberal arts here, the notion of engaging in a "fight" makes sense as a perfect metaphor within the Trial Lab. Side question: has anyone ever done a full clique analysis of each Steet Figher II character?
