He is too extreme and a hypocrite who took out a PPP loan despite coming from a family who have millions. He didn't need those tax payer dollars. His appearance is also too flamboyant for an AG with that heavy botox. Florida is such a crazy state. It's really hard to do procedures on a man because the surgeon/injector has to balance making the patient look rested/youthful while still maintaining a rugged look. Overcorrections can lead to a feminine or Dr. Spock look. Seems Trump maybe trusts him to be loyal. He is hardcore MAGA, but I think people like him and Marjorie Taylor Green and that Boebert lady represent the dark side of MAGA. Sort of like the AOCs and Ilhan Omars of the GOP. IMHO, there were still plenty of loyal Trump supporters who come across as more serious than Gaetz. Maybe he will do a good job on some issues though? Will wait and see before being too judgmental. How can somebody with zero education or qualifications head DHS? Gaetz is mainly problematic because of the whole human trafficking scandal, i.e. bringing minors across state lines. I forgot about all of this. Trump seems to just pick people who kiss his ass. It’s ridiculous because just because somebody is nice to him doesn’t mean they are a good choice. If Gaetz is under guilty of the stuff he has been accused of then he should never be an AG and shouldn’t even be in Congress anymore. I do not see her as somebody well traveled or somebody who speaks several languages and has knowledge of issues such as terrorism. I think of people who served in cabinets in the past such as Henry Kissinger. Secretary of states and heads of DHS should give off sort of Kissinger vibes. She overall comes across as a dumb redneck which is pretty bizarre for a woman. Trump feels safer than Kamala winning, but he clearly has a poor judge of character.
