Expat coupled says everything about America sucks and they would never move back
willingly

They relocated to Spain six years ago. Now this couple say they’d be ‘very
depressed’ if they ever had to move back to the United States
They settled into life in Spain very quickly, and immediately noticed that the
attitudes and priorities of their Spanish neighbors were very different to what
they were used to back home.
“I am constantly inspired by people’s ability to enjoy the moment,” says
Gail. “And not be like, ‘Oh, if I work even harder, I can get a bigger car.
Or, ‘If I work even more, I can get a bigger house.’
“It is just not about that… Everything surrounding you is so absolutely
beautiful, and you’re so ingrained in your community that it’s not about
showing off.
“It’s being content with what you have and really enjoying whatever the day
brings you.”
“I think the health care system here is so much better,” says Greg. “The
quality of care is better. The cost is unbelievably less expensive.”
Gail goes on to recount how they misheard the price of Greg’s prescription
when they visited a pharmacy, and asked the pharmacist if they could pay by
card.
“She kind of looked at me funny,” says Gail. “So she runs the card, and he
gets the receipt and it was one euro and four cents, and he’d thought it was
104 euros.”

to all places. I just do not like to compare. Some places are too different to
compare. I would share my travel photos of my home abroad, but too lazy now.
