Syria
Very sad news for Syria. The rebels appear to have advanced and Assad supposedly
escaped to Russia earlier this week with his family. IMHO, this will be a
disaster for neighboring countries too. Bibi Netanyahu was wrong for taking out
Nasrallah as Hezbollah were one of the only militia forces capable of defending
Syria against groups such as Isis and Al Nusra and the Muslim Brotherhood. This
may mean genocide for Alawites and Christians. I am also unsure of how this can
be good for Israel as groups such as PLO and Hamas will also be empowered. These
groups will naturally align with the rebel groups in Syria IMHO. With Assad
already in Russia, China and Russia will likely not help the Syrian army. If
true that Assad escaped to Russia, thats terrible he abandoned his Alawite
people.
IMHO, Hafez likely would not have done the same. I'm of course just a Westerner,
so its not my business, but I saw how hateful some of these Sunni militant
groups in Northern Lebanon were. Also, I'm not saying House of Assad is perfect.
I know in the past, Hafez aligned himself with Palestinian militia groups who
committed many atrocities especially in the Lebanese Christian town of Darmour,
but at the moment, I think Assad was better than the rebel groups. How crazy
that it seemed like the rebels were pretty much finished a year ago, now they
are back.

Reply #19315177 Isn't this what our overlords
wanted all along? It's a blow to Putin. What value does Assad, and ex dentist,
have to Putin, living in Russia. Our overlords are pleased l.
