Skiing

I went skiing last week

Really enjoyed it

We were too poor to go skiing regularly when I wss a kid, we went maybe 2 times
to a legit ski resort

The rest was using garage sale ski equipment on hills in our neighborhood

Feels good to be able to let my kids grow up in another socioeconomic level

Reply #13981106 There are some really nice ski
resorts throughout Italy and Switzerland. However, the winter wonderland
ambiance, hot tubs, and cocoa are enough for me. I have a cousin who has
paralysis, so anything risky is too scary for me. Waterslides and diving at a
pool are the most risk taking I will do. Even some waterslides are scary.

Reply #17332953 Yea skiing is a blood sport.
States pass specific legislation to absolve ski resorts of any liability for
personal injuries. I spent time watching a slope once, the ski medical patrol
would come down with a person every 20-30 minutes. I think it's so bad that many
ski resorts do not publicize injuries, you have to deduce it by ER visits in
nearby towns.

Less crowds is always better.

Reply #14644542 I love skiing, but lately it has
been supplanted by a much more expensive hobby.
