Musing on Next Destination (shithead) (MANDATORY)
I'm done in Atlanta at the end of March. It's been adequate-plus, but I won't be
staying.

Reply #19229591 Why will you not be staying in
Atlanta? Did the show The Walking Dead inspire you to go out to Georgia?

Reply #17944076 I'm talking about your fora,
Andy-san.
I finished the jerb I came to do in Atlanta, and there's not enough attraction
to keep me here.

Reply #12433442 Attraction is back to Madeira or
Tenerife. I'm eligible for residence in both Portugal and Spain.

Reply #10351504 Yes, I agree there needs to be
more activity on here. Not sure what to do here, as it's entertaining and about
2,000 people regularly read it without registering.

Reply #14565535 I need to be on East Coast US
hours for work. Portugal's and Spain's shittiness don't really matter if you're
a US expat making US income. I lived very well on Madeira last year.
Those cheap houses in Japan need a lot of work, are in the middle of nowhere
(car-dependent), and are not useful as vehicles for long-term residence in
Japan. Even after buying the house, you still top out at I think 180 days a year
in Japan.

Reply #18624230 Well, you need to be AWAKE for
east coast hours for work
So you would basically start work in your japan airbnb at like 6 pm and finish
like 2 am if I am slightly correct
You could start drinking by like 12
You don't have childrens to wake up early so who cares about that schedule
Just sleep till 12 daily and chill till dinner time

Reply #15636552 I fucking hate the digital nomad
subculture. Places like Bali and Tulum and Lisbon are infested with those
fucklice. Working US hours in Vietnam would just be too discombobulating. I'd
have to live in a truly 24-hour city, like Tokyo or Seoul. I like Latin America
better than Asia anyway, so why would I do that? Istanbul is the furthest off
that I can manage for time zones. Tbilisi looks like it'd be really cool, but
that's yet another hour ahead of Istanbul. In reality though, I'm not going
further east than Spain. It'll probably be someplace in Mexico chill, like La
Paz.

Reply #11496073 I have never been to Bali. But a
digital nomad hippie friend lived there. Or lives there. Whatever.
Tbilisi is where Stalin grew up. Supposed to be a happening town.
You could try Greenland. An airport just opened up there.

Reply #10950455 I was thinking he should try
Greenland or even Iceland, although Iceland is very very expensive. I like cold
places though and winter is probably my favorite season. Well, early winter
anyway. I hate the misery of mid to late January and February. Late January,
February and early March are probably the most miserable times of the year. This
dude seems to love Mexico though and odd places in the southern USA, so Iām
guessing he is a warm weather man.

Reply #12469438 Greenland is fascinating. I think
it's interesting that the populations in Greenland vs Iceland are so different!
Greenland being mostly Inuit.
I just know I would be terrified if I saw a polar bear. I really wanted to go
there when I was in Iceland, but just ran out of time. Oh well. Maybe on another
trip.
