Reply #11403191 when i was growing up, we had two
librarians at my school. one was this long haired hippie looking lady who was he
mother of one of my classmates. the other was this tall big old nerdy man and he
was born on leap year and talked about it frequently, so yes there were some
guys!

at my local public library there are too men. one is flamboyant sort of wannabe
glam rocker. the other is this redhead viking looking dude. we have a few women
too.

but yes there is the stereotype of bookkeepers being liberal women who tend to
be introverts.

Reply #11271400 my father also was friends with a
woman who fit the stereotype. she was this sort of quasi relative he connected
with through some facebook groups and really i think he liked her, but she was
weird. she was a book keeper. we went out once and he brought her with. she
picked the restaurant and it was an unusual ambiance. she was just weird. she
started talking to me about how librarians are mostly socialists and how she
identifies as a socialist. she also did not dye her greys, but her hair was
thick and she could have looked 20 years younger if she dyed her hair. women who
don't dye greys are weird and i noticed this trend amongst book keepers. i am
happy my mother does not have many greys yet as dying hair sucks too though. i
have not dyed my hair in two years and have never had greys, but i do have some
poliosis in back which i had since i was a child and never dyes anyway.

there also was a poster years ago who was shamed for some behavioral stuff in
law school. anyway, she wanted to be a law librarian. i of course will not out
her, but most people already know her. she is out east. she wasn't a frequent
poster, but you may have chatted with her in the past. she was too left leaning
for me to form a friendship with, not that i like many right wing folks, but i
find people too blindly partisan either way tend to be closed minded. the left
wing just tend to be much more closed minded than the right. its like they are
on some witch hunt for people who could possibly be racist or a little too
religious for their comfort.

Reply #17888675 oh hahah i am dumb though, you
are probably talking about bookkeeping as far as business records go. yes, many
are women, but you can still find success in that position if you choose.
bookkeeping seems like a miserable job though and isn't it just a glorified less
front facing secretary in the end? although now there are probably virtual
bookkeepers. anyway, i am happy i still had a chance to talk about librarians
because they are weirdos.

Reply #12465550 Librarians are cool. Come on now.
Think about that nice old lady at the childrens section.

Lawyers are weirdos. Argue with people for a living. Lots of substance abuse
problems and pretending to be successful like real estate agents.
