I was forced to resign from chairing the I.P./Technology section of the bar
association because of my Hall of Shame
They knew the I.P./Technology Section was something I really wanted to do and
that I had big plans for, and they pressured me to remove Judge Cadet's page
because it allegedly reflects poorly on the bar association to have a section
leader expressing these concerns about a judge in the area. They admitted that
they have heard the exact same things from other association members about Judge
Cadet. What a joke that a section leader's personal website can be censored at
the whims of the association board. I could have done great things with the I.P.
and Technology section, and it was something I really wanted to do-- and they
knew that. So I've lost any remaining respect I had for the bar association
leadership from them pressuring me in this way. In all fairness, it was a
pleasant conversation with Deborah and Alma, but the bottom line is that they
and/or the bar association don't want or can't handle the truth. Sad.

Reply #17337863 Sadly there is no more freedom of
speech in this country. I mean they cannot stop you from having your hall of
shame, but itβs clear there are consequences to simply speaking your truth
about your own experiences. The only people who seem to consistently have
freedom of speech are these crazy for profit information companies that aid
stalkers by having addresses and person information readily available on the
first page of google.

this though? "Judge Cadet is a horrible person" is pretty impolitic language to
publish about a judge before whom you regularly appear, and likely to be
prejudicial to present and future clients of yours. Who benefits from your
venting?

except when it is popular, meaningless speech. Such as Jay z sucks or I hated
aquaman.
Does it reflect poorly on the bar association to have a lousy unreasonable
judge? Seems like not
