That joint often has retired but decently contemporary servers. I picked up a SuperMicro chassis with 24 drive slots for something like 1.5 kibibucks, with a good non-hardware-raid disk controller. If you're not using ZFS you're just committing slow motion data suicide. Typically the machines there are simply EOLed as companies upgrade.
