4chan is dead
Apparently it was hacked. Maybe there is no place in the world today for such a website. I first went to 4chan in 2007 after my cousin who was an anime fan
introduced me. The early days of /b/ seemed like a secret clubhouse almost. Some of the funniest memes ever long before all the soyjack crap and the awful Gen Z
“yes” meme. There were raids, hilarious prank calls posted using soundboards. Even cute memes like “I herd you like mudkips.” I also remember before
/pol/ existed. People would post news and political stories on /n/. M00t saw early on how problematic /n/ was and nuked it, turning it into trains. However,
nothing could be done. People wanted a political board and simply turned trains into one no matter how hard m00t tried to moderate. 4chan was no longer just an
anime board. Anime and anime memes were now secondary
Early on there were funny alliances with wise beard man to take down scientology. 4chan was just a place where it was Anonymous vs the world.
Today, the website is mostly a cesspool for Stormfront users and manosphere losers to lament. Before these people were told to go back to Stormfront. Little
kids who posted crappy content were told they were b&undrage. Some of these crazies types are largely the reason the website is so heavily moderated and
captchas had to be added which totally destroy any desire to post. /pol/ post 2012 and especially post 2016 is mostly reddit tier typical left wing vs right
wing political arguments. While I was upset when m00t nuked /n/ years ago, in hindsight, it was the right thing to do. /pol/ should have never been created.
/pol/ is the cancer that killed not only /b/, but all of 4chan. In the end, /b/ lost its humor and was just porn too. That Japanese guy who purchased 4chan
destroyed it too by adding all the captchas and making time limits to post too. The wild west of the net forever gone. Modern 4chan won’t be missed much. I
will always miss early 4chan though like crazy.
I also hilariously remember old 4chan even had stuff I didn’t understand at all. Although m00t was straight Gen Y, Gen X folks still posted in the early days
talking about stuff from their childhood like Commodore 64. None of us younger people even knew what Commodore 64 was and would quietly ignore their memes! What
a different world 4chan was!

Now instead of lulz, Gen Z mostly use the Korean form of laughing “kek.”

I still think 4chan has been especially dead post 2016. 2012 started to suck, but there were still funny memes being
made especially when /pol/ decided to support Chris Dorner. Circa 2014, some of the Elliot Rodger memes and conspiracies were off the wall too. I just dream to
go back to 4chan 2007. I remember when m00t himself used to moderate. Some would try to copy his trip and troll people too. They would get banned for it. Once
he hilariously banned me for trolling for a day. My cousin was laughing so much when I got banned. It was such a funny place, but it could be scary too. The
raids were cool and funny.

4chan became way too popular after Trump and got flooded with stormfags and now even reddit leftists come to fight the
stormfags. Its pathetic. I'm not saying 4chan was ever left wing. It always was sort of fringe right wing, but they would choose causes they believed in to
support whether left or right. It was basically 4chan vs the world. In the mid 00s, you also only knew about 4chan if somebody told you about the place as this
guy in the video says.
Now, its flooded with so called "newfags" and "tripfags." Before if anybody other than m00t used a trip, they were ridiculed offline. Pedos were even shamed
with the pedobear meme. Now, you have sick pedos coming on 4chan too.
I'm shocked gen z managed to hack it, if it even was a gen z guy. I thought they were pretty lame and raids were a thing of the past. All the same, I still
think its a big nothingburger about who the jannies were on 4chan. I remember when this report was on tv and everybody kept posting it laughing back in the day.
Women used to be rare on the board, but the women who were there all liked m00t.

Twitter also sort of destroyed 4chan. People would post screenshots from 4chan. Mid 00s, it sort of was like a secret place and nobody talked about it. In fact,
there was the first rule of b is not to talk about b.
I also miss rule 34 memes. They were creepy, but sometimes funny.
Anyway, the Mayans had something right about 2012. The world has sucked post 2012 including the net. All the magic is gone.
