Milwaukee judge arrested for allegedly obstructing ICE operation

Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Kash Patel attends the annual White House Easter Egg Roll event, on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington,
D.C., on April 21. U.S. officials arrested a Wisconsin judge today in what appeared to be a dispute between President Donald Trump’s administration and local
officials over immigration enforcement.

WASHINGTON >> U.S. officials arrested a Wisconsin judge today in what appeared to be a dispute between President Donald Trump’s administration and local
officials over immigration enforcement.

FBI Director Kash Patel said in a social media post that federal agents arrested a judge on obstruction charges related to an immigration enforcement operation
last week. The post was later deleted.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Marshals Service said Hannah Dugan, a Milwaukee County circuit judge, was arrested at the courthouse where she works this morning.

A spokesperson for the FBI could not be immediately reached for comment.

The arrest comes after a senior Justice Department official called on federal prosecutors to pursue criminal cases against local government officials who
obstructed the administration’s immigration crackdown. The memo said officials could be charged with defrauding the U.S. or harboring immigrants who are in
the country unlawfully.

Patel said in his deleted post that immigration officials had been attempting to apprehend Eduardo Flores Ruiz, whom he described as an “illegal alien.”

“Thankfully, our agents chased down the perp on foot, and he’s been in custody since,” Patel added.

Wisconsin court records show that a man by that name appeared in Dugan’s courtroom for a pretrial conference on April 18. Ruiz was facing misdemeanor battery
charges related to domestic abuse, court records show.

I mean couldn't state officials start arresting federal officials as well?

It can happen, like when a now-former FBI agent accidentally shot someone at a party in Colorado while dancing (badly).

I thought it was obvious, but a person should never try to do a backflip while carrying a loaded gun-- especially a Federal agent. This is worse than the DEA
agent whose gun went off in a school classroom. They deserve lifelong humiliation, which has already happened to both of them.

should have kept that gun on safety, but some guns don't have that feature. that's why i never carried a gun in public, the overhead is way too much, so many
things could happen, i've seen videos of guys grabbing a gun off of somebody else. what would i do in that situation? ask him to give it back to me? how
embarrassing. also the chances of ever needing to use a gun is so low, for me it is, i leave the house only to go to the store. been some times i was glad i
didn't have a gun, i have have done something real stupid, don't want to talk about that

@marlonTest I carry a 1911 for this very reason. When cocked and locked, it
simply cannot go off. It takes a deliberate move to take off the safety, and it also cannot go off unless the gun is in someone's hand. Most criminals are not
familiar with the 1911 platform and would have no idea how to use it, which is an added layer of safety. The only way it would go off when on safe is if it
fell off a 10 story building and hit the ground at the perfect angle, or if it were in a vehicle fire and the rounds cooked off. That will never happen in a
normal scenario.

Admin-sahib, how the heck did you get a carry permit? Are those not for all intents and purposes unobtainium?

Kimber Warrior btw.

@phositaTest California became shall-issue after the Bruen decision. I waited
19 months and I'm a law-abiding citizen, that was it. A CCW in California is the greatest thing ever.
