Facebook and LinkedIn are now worthless

These platforms have lost their original purpose and are no longer useful. LinkedIn was supposed to be a site where people post their work history and find or
offer jobs. Facebook was supposed to be a place where you interact with friends. There is now so much algorithmic slop in my feed on both platforms that I
just don't use them anymore-- except for posting my c.v. (LinkedIn) and keeping up with a group that I'm in on Facebook, solely because they only use Facebook.
I'm sick of this shit and it makes me feel burned out. At least on Instagram, you are seeing a photo and video stream of people's lives instead of continuous
A.I.-generated fake news. What can be done about this, if anything? I think people just have to not use the platforms anymore and they'll eventually get the
message.

Yea it's basically 80% advertising for me now on those sites

I think human networks and cultivated social media sites news sites etc /not open to public but by membership only/ will be the useful stuff

Internet is basically junk or propaganda now
