I thought he had reversed some of the tariffs. Maybe just on other countries.
Either way, capitalists (like Trump and many of his friends) are responsible for the fall of the West and turning China into the most powerful country on earth.
His old clothing line that was sold at Macy’s was made in China. He later made the MAGA hats in USA to impress his supporters.
The problem is factories are abroad now. Many of them will not move back here and even if they did, who what young people of today would work in a factory here?

I am at a point here where I am now trying to thrift higher end clothes and shoes made in Italy and France. You can find so many good things for cheap.
Sometimes that are barely used and donated by accident on Goodwill auctions. Belts, shoes, handbags, scarves. Then I just buy one or two new items a season that
are costly, but will last me a long time. I used to love Forever21 and am still sad it’s going out of business, but I have so much stuff now that’s going to
end up in land fills. All my fast casual fashion from the malls and Shein.

Pretty sure they'll do a Call in the next month. Both sides will claim the other side called them first. Tariffs will be postponed / lowered to the 30-40%
range, which will still result in moderate inflation but everyone's used to that now.

Tariffs May be called off but at this moment all china has reduced production and shipments. At best there will be a lag on china shipments for a few months.
They are already down 60% since last month. It will cause chaos at the stores. Prices will have to go up. People will panic and hoard. These are the words of
WGIC.

Then if they drop the tariffs the shipping cost will pendulum back up, causing more chaos and backups at the ports. Basically until Christmas things will be
difficult.

I bought a couple of big-ass lithium batteries, 24 volt 100 Amp-hr jobbies, in anticipation not only of local power grid weaksauciness but also, you know,

A bunch of Boeing jets just got returned to sender. Heckuva ferry, too, in a 737 type: Zhoushan, Communist China to Guam to Honolulu to Boeing Field.
(Also, screw everything about flying narrowbodies as a pax on any sector longer than about 3 hrs.)
