As the time draws nearer I will keep an eye on aviation wx across the pond.  Do not outself, but from which US region will you depart to Red China?

First thing is probably say hi to my boss friend aka uncle. I always get some good intel from him about how the overall situation is. After that kowtow to the
other bosses. 

It's usually a huge anticlimax, i fret and stress over the trip for weeks, fly across the ocean and through various exotic airports just to get there, brave
taxis and trains ordered through an app which may or may not work, hope the company driver shows up.....just to end up sitting in an empty hotel.

This time I will make it a goal to climb a few mountains in chayna. For those who don't know china has beautiful mountain hikes. Like set off at dawn and summit
by afternoon kind of thing.  6 hours or so.
