Nearly two million student loan borrowers are at risk of having their wages garnished this summer.
Roughly six million federal student-loan borrowers are 90 days or more past due after a pandemic-era reprieve ended, according to TransUnion. The
credit-reporting company estimates that about a third of them, or nearly two million borrowers, could move into default in July and start having their pay
docked by the government. That’s up from the 1.2 million that TransUnion had estimated in early May.

Let it burn. People realized student loans are fake when they paused them during the pandemic. Collection efforts will cost more than they bring in.

Happy I'm not one of them in default. I called to double check as I was nervous af when I heard that they were going to start garnishing wages. I don't owe as
much as most people I know, but I have bills and medical expenses and its still fucked up those loans were on pause for years, nothing happened, and now they
want to collect again, but Khloe Kardashian, Kanye West, and other rich people got all that money in PPP loans. Some of their businesses were unaffected
economically by covid lockdowns. Small minded people will say they were shut down, but many essential businesses also took the money. At the end of the day, we
all suffered during covid and most people just got that lousy $1200 stimulus or for whatever amount it was for.
I have a friend who can barely put food on the table for her kids and they want her to pay back some bs student loan. Thats insane.
