took my old Yamaha out for test ride
first time in six years, been so many hang-ups, had to pull the engine & do valve adj, clean the carb, dead battery, etc. so sad it was stored inside all these
years.

the biggest hang-up is missing parts & fasteners. wonder where the hell it went.
million trips to hardware store for a stupid bolt, etc

the test ride was important, as i did a valve adj, & the carb was acting funny. but i rode the bike up & down the dirt rode a couple times, it seems normal,
has power, took it up to 40mph. once i did a valve adj wrong, so engine had bad compression, it was horrible ride, not ready for the road

yes it is same one from years ago, only one i ever bought brand new at a dealership, i first saw it in the box it came in. learned my lesson since, anything
else is a bad idea. my second bike bought at a dealership was "as is" & a lemon, it sat around a few years, they molested it, the engine is good but it kills
batteries, been trying to fix it, it's a cursed bike.

today i took my other Yamaha out for a test ride, this is the one i bought at a dealership "as is" & is a lemon. but it started easy, i could not believe it, &
the engine just purrs like a kitten. adjusted the rear brakes. this bike has killed a few batteries, but i know now not to trust chargers, & idling w/ a bit
of revving is just not enough, as this bike will generate sufficient charging amps only while cruising for s few minutes.

You will have to spend a bit of coin to get one, but I highly recommend Victron charge controllers.
