that’s a super nice story. you can do it even with gas. i just had some bad kids try to sell me a labubu that normally costs $20 for $55. lol no way. i have

after my dad died, i found a couple bags of briquettes in the garage, buried in his stuff.  used gasoline, burned off all my chest hair.

I've also gone to using a propane torch to light the coals. You can get one for $30 from Harbor Freight.

An electric leafblower is handy. This allows me to get a wood fire from self-sustaining to roaring with ease.
