Trump says no one cares about Epstein. Why won't his base let it go?
One of the narratives at the heart of President Trump's political movement is this: American society is dominated by a shadowy group of elites, and those elites

Nothing represented that theory more than the case of Jeffrey Epstein.
He was a man most people had never heard of initially, with a private plane and a private island. Acquainted with the world's most powerful people: British
royalty, U.S. presidents.
A man who ultimately died in jail...by suicide, according to authorities... before the case against him went to trial. Epstein's case and his death bred
skepticism and conspiracy theories – especially among supporters of Donald Trump.
Now, some of Trump's most ardent supporters are attacking his Justice Department's decision not to release all of the files related to the Epstein case.
Trump says nobody cares about Epstein. But his base won't let it go.

I think the Epstein case is a big nothingburger and it's insane some of the conspiracy theory folks and remnants of Qanon will not let it go. It's crazy that
people like Musk want to exploit it. Epstein was like many wealthy men. He slept with hookers. Some of these sex workers may have been underage as in 16 or 17.
Maybe Epstein knew, maybe he did not. One thing is for sure, it seems very unlikely there was some human trafficking ring involving elites and there definitely
were not prepubescent victims. Not trying to downplay what he did and what others around him like Price Andrew did, but it seems it is not the wild story people
are making it out to be. Of course, I could be wrong.

The 90s and 00s were crazy times and this stuff happened very often in circles with the wealthy. We still do not know the full story, but I just don't think
it's what the conspiracy theorists claim. I would also ask where were the parents of these girls and how did they even get involved in escorting or even meet
Epstein?
