The decline and fall of the World Wide Web and the rise of social apps

As I write this, there is nowhere left to interact with other people online except really X, Instagram, Reddit, and Facebook.  Online message boards and BBSes
are mostly a thing of the past except for hyper-specialized communities centered around hobbies, such as sewing, shooting sports, or writing.  I lament the
decline of the Web because it has become less interactive and more information-only, to the point where companies only have a marketing presence for the public
and then their internal systems for corporate intranet.  Everything has become fodder for A.I. and nobody spends the time on deep dives into topics anymore. 
What do people do for connecting with others these days?  The days of interacting with random people and emailing them to follow up on interesting subjects are
apparently over.

I'm also really annoyed by the fact that LinkedIn now shows me fake notifications, apparently to get me to return to check LinkedIn only to see nothing new. 
And Facebook now emails me randomly about other people's posting activity that doesn't involve me.  What a joke.

Yea i knew Facebook was over when it became 6/10 ads. This was like 10 years ago.

Its more than just end of WWW Andy. You are being too kind. Its the end of civilization, whereby the internet used to have some link to reality and tangible
things. Now we will live in a world of the unreal.

Such as digital currencies. From gold standard to nothing.
