Washer making squeaking noise. After 24 hour trip.

Frigging thing is squeaking at the spin cycle and I think i need to replace the belt of tighten some shit. I slept 5 hours in last 36 and am jet lagged.

Should I try to fix it myself like a true American or try to find appliance repair people who will come within a week and charge me 400 dollars for a 20 dollar
part?

Oh and washer weight like a one hundred and fifty pounds. I can barely budge it.

I think you should try to fix it yourself first, since these appliance folks are racketeering nonstop, and it's tragic.
