Why JDU is the future of internets

https://english.elpais.com/technology/2025-09-20/dead-internet-theory-gains-ground-amid-rise-of-ai-generated-content.html?outputType=amp

A similar vertigo has been experienced by Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI. The head of the company behind one of the most sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI)
developments has begun to consider the “dead internet” theory, which argues that automatically generated content will eventually surpass human-created
content — multiplying the risks of manipulation, disinformation, and intentional behavioral conditioning.

Altman’s terse message has raised concerns: “I never took the dead internet theory that seriously, but it seems like there are really a lot of [large
language model] LLM-run Twitter accounts now,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter, which is now owned by Elon Musk).

Aaron Harris, global chief technology officer (CTO) at Sage, a multinational specializing in AI applications, is cautious about labeling the phenomenon, though
he does not deny the process. “I don’t know if I would call it ‘the dead internet,’ but it’s certainly changing rapidly. The rise of automated content
and bot-driven interaction [computer programs that mimic human behavior] makes it increasingly difficult to separate the authentic from the noise. The question
is whether we allow that noise to overwhelm us, or focus on designing technology that restores trust. What matters now is how we filter, verify, and display
information that people can trust.”

Altman’s specific reference to the social network is no coincidence. “This is critically important, as social media is now the primary news source for many
users around the world,” write Jake Renzella, director of computer science at the University of Melbourne, and Vlada Rozova, a machine learning researcher at
the University of New South Wales, in an article published in The Conversation.

“As these AI-driven accounts grow in followers (many fake, some real), the high follower count legitimizes the account to real users. This means that out
there, an army of accounts is being created,” the article continues. “Already, there is strong evidence social media is being manipulated by these inflated
bots to sway public opinion with disinformation – and it’s been happening for years."

Basically

Even though there are like 10 regular posters on JDU at least we can be sure they are real humans if not real personas

As opposed to Facebook which is mostly bots with random real people

I can attest to you than everyone who posts on here is a real person. What should we do to take back the internet from bots?

"It’s not just Sam Altman warning about an AI bubble. Now Mark Zuckerberg says a ‘collapse’ is ‘definitely a possibility’"

Zuckerberg basically just told the world what everyone already knew, AI kinda sucks.

It has it's useful purposes, but it is not some all-knowing replacement for human logic.

But, don't worry Zuck, Musk and Trump have a plan. To give AI a leg-up the government and big tech are working together to first decentivize and then
criminalize logic.

No more thinking critical for you, here are some cats videos.

Youre doing your part Andy. You really cannot compete with bots and any large scale social media will be a centrally controlled government operation anyway. The
best is to unplug i guess. Easier said than done.

I'm as plugged in as they get without going crazy. Lol. I provide this platform for people to use, but for some reason it has not taken off. I don't get it.
My extensive web presence is something I would never give up, because I definitely have authoritative status on several topics. For example, my creative
writing is a nice outlet and it's well-received so far.

I don't know what else to do. People crave interaction, but most of the online interaction is fake or at least not genuine. I miss the earlier days when
people actually put up home pages.
