visitors gave me $$ when i was a five yr old

wish i knew who they were, this was back in 1980 or so.
they were a young couple.  they like me for some reason.
my parents must have took it from me, i was so ashamed about losing
the $$ that i did not say anything.  back in those days, keeping a wallet
was not yet in my understanding.  it was a few $20 bills.  that would be
like giving a kid $300 now.  they must have been rich.
who would give $$ to a little kid while visiting their home in the middle of nowhere?  must had been a long drive for them.
this was a New Years Eve i think
