Disillusioned with Judges
Had a friend take a case for me up to the state supreme court in a Midwest state. We scored a moral victory in affirming our right to special jurisdiction but
they just did what they wanted and refused to engage with the binding case law from the US Supreme Court. I knew the state supreme court in this state does
whatever it damn well pleases but Judges who just ignore the law they don't like are awful. Really brings down the whole system when you lose because the judge
wants you to lose and not when an actual deliberation of the law takes place. Maybe I just belong in academia and we're going to make them eat this decision in
other ways, but it's disappointment when our system feels rigged. They clearly hated the client and being wrong on the law 25 years ago. Maybe that's why SCOTUS
recently reversed one of your ruling 9-0, hacks.

I wish I had known everything I know about judges before I went to law school. I would have done something else!
