Severely injured myself skiing

Fucked my knee and ankle up during a fall whilst on blue ride down hill

Screamed in pain as I fell and felt the twist and crunch

Did not feel a snap or pop and still have mobility in ankle and knee but in severe pain and have a hard time walking

Waiting in ski shop to get driven out

Best case I will be laid up for a few days and slowly get back to walking by end next week

Ski season might be over tho or permanently so

I woke up at 4 today and lifted weights 5-6 am and was off to the slopes by 7 am

Hope I can still lift and do rowing machine or something like that although the knee flexion is a lot for rowing machine

Will understand the extent of injury once home and can take boot off

Hope no need for American hospital visit because it means hours waiting for an MRI

The ski is supposed to release upon a certain amount of pressure that is meant to prevent any tears

But the ski got buried in snow and it was more of a slow twist rather than a violent one

Got toboganed out by ski patrol

Man that sucked

Holy carp, man. This does not sound like a good outcome at all.

At least you were (I assume) in the West someplace, where people didn't just ski by indifferently and leave you to die of hypothermia.

Week in and I can barely walk. If I had a real job I would be a month away from being homeless and destitute. Struggle is real.
