The gauge is computed from our actual billable hours for active attorneys divided by their target hours for this stage of the year. We're 90% through the year and ahead on billables by an average of 5%, so our workload is essentially 105% of a maximum 110%. It looks cool, also. Click on the heatmap and you'll see our month-by-month distribution of new cases over the last 10 years of the law firm. But if people see that I'm at 130% of my billable target, would that mean I'm too busy for them? This is why I should have a variable rate tied to how busy I am.Replies require login.
