I like Home Alone and many of the classics of course. All the cartoons like the Grinch, Rudolph, and Frosty. I also think Bad Santa with Billy Bob Thornton was
pretty cool and a newer classic. Last year I saw Baby Girl with Nicole Kidman where she was this high powered executive type who goes with a younger guy while
cheating on her husband Antonio Banderas. It was a pretty dumb storyline that would likely never happen in real life lol, but the Christmas vibes were chill.
2046 by Wong Kar Wai also has Christmas themes and is probably my favorite movie Christmas or non Christmas. lol.

Christmas horror is also a pretty crazy genre. I loved the 2003 film Dead End. One of my favorite horrors with Christmas themes. I may watch the Lodge tonight
as I have never seen it.

Anyway, winter is my favorite season. It’s the most romantic and nostalgic. Winter is also a liminal space in some ways. The only time of year, we can like be
stuck in time. The days after Christmas to New Year’s eve are the most eerie peace.

I really love Christmas Vacation.

Beyond the laughs and the behind the farce lies the stinging truth that end of year, which coincides with Christmastime, is riddled with stress and anxiety.

I remember back in the ancient 1970s loving Rudolph and the grinch. Saw those every year. The only thing that compares since that era is Elf.
