Probably my favorite Foo Fighters song. It is short and the melody seems happy, but it has a sense of longing and nostalgia. All the songs that were written
shortly after Kurt’s death just hit differently. Dave will never say if any songs are about Kurt and Howard Stern rudely pressed him to talk in interviews.
Dave made it clear he was happy just being a drummer. Anyway, whether some of the songs were written with Kurt in mind if not, there is a sense of grief in
them. It took courage to start a new band. What is interesting about Foo Fighters is that it was totally different from Nirvana, but for those of us who were
too young to appreciate Nirvana when Kurt was alive, FF were still something extra.
