There are some pretty scary places in the USA. The Amish also really scare me. I never got why people want to spend weekends with the Amish. Can you imagine
walking alone down the street at night and a guy dressed like an Amish dude is walking down the street? Am I the only one who gets scared by them? They remind
me of Children of the corn. Driving in Texas at night was scary too though when I saw signs for Waco.
Btw, I can tolerate the Amish during the day, but would never want to be there at night.
All the same, nothing will prepare you for being in some Italian towns that were entirely abandoned. I came across ghost towns that used to be fairly large town
and were almost entirely vacated due to earthquakes. Then I’ve seen houses where the person must have left years ago to the USA or Argentina or Australia or
something and they look like they haven’t been opened in decades. That’s super scary.
Now my mom’s town is not a scary one because there are only a few families and just large farms where everybody knows everybody and even if a house is empty,
you know where the owner is and who they are. People also still hang out in the piazza there even if a tiny town. There have been some scary stories in my
mom’s village though of some crazy people throughout the years.
However, going to my father’s familial village which is where I had to register was really spooky! In modern times, it was almost entire vacated due to
earthquakes in the area and there were also some old old houses that looked like they had been closed since the 1900s. What’s even scarier is this used to be
a huge village and many many floors of the village that you have to use stairs to reach it level, like they made the town to hide from the Ottomans. It was like
seeing an apocalypse. Very few people walk around and the only businesses are like in somebody’s house. They say there are all these pizza places and very
hard to find because like no signs. Then all the signs are written not even in Italian, but in Albanian. My mom kept asking where all the people were and said
it seemed like they were hiding. There isn’t even a normal road leading up to this town, but a dirt road.

Also if you are into more experimental horror, watch Eny’s Men. It’s a Cornish film. I thought it was pretty freaky, but my mom didn’t like it. I think
it’s more interesting than Skinamarink which many people recommend and I didn’t like.
