Maduro

What do you all think will happen to him? Why was he targeted by Trump? I really don’t know a lot about him aside from an English friend of mine loves Maduro
and she is sort of a tankie. Hugo Chavez seemed more insufferable tbh.

Also, why on earth was his wife arrested I wonder? She is some lawyer who seems like she didn't really do anything. I could be wrong though.

Man they really fucked that guy. One moment you are the big boss of a country the next you are in some new jersey jail wearing flip flops having to pose for
pictures like you are some big game downed at a safari with fat bald and white DEA agents. Some gangster shit, america.

My guess is, they will treat him like they treat any scumbag street level drug dealer in New Jersey correctional facilities.

That is, they try to get him to flip and snitch in exchange for promises of leniency.

Man imagine the dirt Maduro has on people and countries. And man imagine that tweety bird singing to the American intelligence agencies.

I am guessing they took the wife as leverage to encourage him to cooperate.

Probably life in prison for him and his wife in general population where he will have to stay in solitary to stay safe or witness protection program in Florida
or or iowa or something if he talks.

Cold cold shit.

You know back in undergrad this crazy teacher had us read this book Confessions of an Economic Hitman. This is a similar situation. Look, I’m not defending
this guy, but it seems crazy that Trump or any president can just remove a leader of another country like that. If he was involved in drug trafficking, then he
should be held accountable, but if that’s just a front from Americans then idk. I know many criminals entered here from Venezuela, but he can’t be held
accountable. From what I am reading it seems, the reality is he was a communist leaning leader who was one of the only leaders in the Americas who was pretty
anti USA.

My friend in England is obsessed with Maduro and just devastated he was arrested. She liked Assad too. I found Assad interesting mostly because he was Alawite,
but now that I’m reading about Maduro, I can understand her fascination. He seems like a super deep man and honestly he is attractive. I don’t say that
lightly because I think Hugo Chavez was not attractive and usually I’m not into American (indio or mestizo) looks, but there is something about Maduro. I
can’t even quite put my finger on his phenotype. It’s not an indigenous one, but at the same time not heavily Iberian. I know he must be mixed, but I would
be curious of his origins. Either way, I started to find him super attractive when I found out his wife is 6 years older and was an attorney who defended him on
his attempted coup charges in the past. It takes a deep man to marry an older woman who helped him. Many men resent women who help them. Many men are
superficial and will be willing to date scumbag chicks covered in tattoos and piercings as long as younger. That he was willing to give an older woman with more
education than him a chance proves to me he has upper class vibes and can connect with a woman’s mind rather than an exterior. That already makes him more
interesting than Trump who seems to chase women like Melania that just want a sugar daddy.

I wanted to love Melania. She is from a Catholic country in the Balkans. That’s so close to me being from a Gheg background. She is pretty, but ultimately she
is superficial. Her comments on Christmas were terrible and she never seems happy with Trump. Marla Maples was a gold digger too. Ivana was the only woman who
really liked Trump for him even if she initially married him for his status and took him to the cleaners. You can see the love was there in interviews. Trump
doesn’t like love though. He likes the chase. He looks at Melania like he wants approval from the pretty girl in school. She treats him icy and he loves the
standoffishness. Trump also treats his biggest supporters badly like he treated Jeff Sessions and Steve Bannon. Anyway, not trying to be an “orange man bad”
type, but it’s interesting to analyze relationships and Trump is mystifying.

tl;dr I’m obsessed with Maduro’s wife. She is one of the few examples of a woman who won. Not in a creepy Cher or Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher era way, but
in a genuine way. She got this big guy 6 years younger to be obsessed with her.

In sum, Trump has new money or even scummy taste in women. lol. He is an Anastasia Date guy. Maduro has this upper class flair which was unexpected and that
makes him fascinating. He may be a very bad guy, but just looking at it from a deeper perspective. I also love Charles because again it also takes a deep man
and a traditionalist to want to be with the first woman he fell in love with rather than 14 years younger Diana or the many other women who would easily marry a
king regardless of age or anything. He was deep enough to want a woman who saw him for him and not for the Prince of Wales. Trump is not a traditionalist. He is
more of a modernist when it comes to his love life. I like old school European elegance and old money seeming relationships.

Another reason I never paid much attention to Maduro is I sort of saw him as an extension of Chavez. Chavez just wasn't hot. More of a tough talking uncle type.
Also, let's face it, he hated white folks. He took on more of an indigenous identity, removed Spanish street names, and then the rest is history.

lol, I just dived a little deeper into Chavez. He wasn't as indigenous as I thought. The way he wore that head garb and his hostility to colonialism confused
me. Either way, he tried to take on a very Amerindian identity.

@whiteguyinchinaTest oh yes. thats super interesting. now Bolivia does
seem to have a larger indigenous population than most neighboring countries. This Friulian guy I knew from Argentina complained about Bolivians entering all the
time.

WASHINGTON — The US used a powerful mystery weapon that brought Venezuelan soldiers to their knees, “bleeding through the nose” and vomiting blood during
the daring raid to capture dictator Nicolas Maduro, according to a witness account posted Saturday on X by the White House press secretary.

In a jaw-dropping interview, the guard described how American forces wiped out hundreds of fighters without losing a single soldier, using technology unlike
anything he has ever seen — or heard.

“We were on guard, but suddenly all our radar systems shut down without any explanation,” the guard said. “The next thing we saw were drones, a lot of
drones, flying over our positions. We didn’t know how to react.”

Moments later, a handful of helicopters appeared — “barely eight,” by his count — deploying what he estimated were just 20 US troops into the area.

But those few men, he said, came armed with something far more powerful than guns.

“They were technologically very advanced,” the guard recalled. “They didn’t look like anything we’ve fought against before.”

What ensued, he said, was not a battle, but a slaughter.

“We were hundreds, but we had no chance,” he said. “They were shooting with such precision and speed; it felt like each soldier was firing 300 rounds per
minute.”

Then came the weapon that still haunts him.

“At one point, they launched something; I don’t know how to describe it,” he said. “It was like a very intense sound wave. Suddenly I felt like my head
was exploding from the inside.”

The effects were immediate and horrific.

“We all started bleeding from the nose,” he said. “Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move. We couldn’t even stand up after that
sonic weapon — or whatever it was.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a question regarding whether Karoline Leavitt’s sharing of the post — captioned, “Stop what you are doing
and read this…” — indicated the administration was verifying the veracity of the eyewitness account.

An estimated 100 Venezuelan security forces were killed in the Jan. 3 attack, according to the country’s Interior Ministry.

It is unclear if any of those were caused by the mystery weapon.

The outmatched defenders were helpless as the small US unit wiped them out, the guard said.

“Those twenty men, without a single casualty, killed hundreds of us,” he claimed. “We had no way to compete with their technology, with their weapons. I
swear, I’ve never seen anything like it.”

The military has had directed energy weapons — which neutralize targets using focused energy such as microwaves or laser beams — for years, but this could
be the first time it’s been used in combat by the US, an ex-US intelligence source told The Post. China reportedly used a microwave weapon in 2020 against
Indian soldiers during a border dispute in Ladakh.

The source noted that those weapons have capability to produce at least some of the symptoms, including “bleeding, inability to move or function, pain and
burning.”

“I can’t say all of those symptoms. But yes, some,” the source said. “And we’ve had versions for decades.”

After the raid, the message couldn’t be more clear: Don’t tread on Uncle Sam, the Maduro loyalist said.

Now, he says, the message is clear: Don’t tread on Uncle Sam.

I’m sending a warning to anyone who thinks they can fight the United States,” he said. “They have no idea what they’re capable of. After what I saw, I
never want to be on the other side of that again. They’re not to be messed with.”

The guard said the raid has already sent shockwaves across Latin America — especially after President Donald Trump recently warned that Mexico is now ‘on
the list.’

“Everyone is already talking about this,” he said. “No one wants to go through what we went through. What happened here is going to change a lot of things
— not just in Venezuela, but throughout the region.”
