He was a nice man. He really loved pugs for some reason. Makes me sad. He was born a few months before my grandmother. Depressing that the silent generation are
dying and the 99.9 percent of the GI are long gone. Now the boomers are all we have and they aren’t very nice.
Anyway when I was mad at this Lombard dude, I told him he reminded me of Valentino with less fake tan. Hahaha Anyway he was one of the last designers to sew
like entirely by hand with no sewing machine.
This was written just a few days before he passed.
