What do screwed up people do for work? How do they survive?
This relates to something important I realized at court one time. I was in the cafeteria and observed an angry, nasty, difficult woman arguing with the cashier
about her coffee. She was trying not to pay for it after pouring it because the price was too high, according to her. She said she didn't want the coffee
anymore and left it with the cashier. You can't do that-- once you pour the coffee and don't pay for it, that's petty theft. I didn't confront her, but she
was so angry and difficult that she probably has a mental health condition. That got me thinking-- what do people who are seriously screwed up, repeat
offenders, etc. do for work and how do they survive? Serious question. If I were disabled, I would not be able to work and would not be able to survive in the
Bay Area.

These people are in marginal positions of authority, such as a lady at the reception desk or a man at the DMV. You see them all the time, lording their power
over others and loving nothing more than someone having to kiss their ass.
This is essentially, psychologically, who the camp guards or oven operators were at Auschwitz.
