On tiktok, there are lots of videos on it. O.K. the au pair program has been a thing in the USA since the 1980s. Basically, people who are too cheap to hire a real nanny (mainly middle class couples where both parents work) use a foreign student and pay them less than like $200 per week calling it a "cultural" exchange. The au pair is usually female from 18-mid 20s. IMHO, having an au pair is just asking for trouble. Anyway, this couple in Virginia in their 30s were together nearly 2 decades. They had their ups and downs, but always stayed together. They had a small daughter. The wife was a nurse and the husband worked for the IRS so they hired an au pair. The au pair was Brazilian (not hot btw, I saw her and wide nose and not cute, but nevertheless young and willing) and the husband and her fell in love. They started planning to murder the wife and staged an elaborate plot. They created a fake profile for the wife on fetlife, lured some man to the house to set him up make it seem like he was a home invader who broke into the house and killed the wife so they killed him.
