I moved my family back to the Bay Area and we all feel better
The move was pure insanity over the last few days, but we're better now. The movers were the worst I have ever seen-- in my wife's words, "a couple shady
Chinese guys." That is an understatement. They were complete idiots and didn't even have uniforms. It took them 6 1/2 hours to unload and they left us with a
home full of boxes stacked floor to ceiling, with no ability to move around. My wife complained and they sent two more guys the next day to help rearrange.
It's better now, but the incredible stress of the experience left us both near collapse. I'm back in the office today, thank God, and looking forward to
catching up on a lot of things.

Interesting. What precipitated the move back? Were you in Texas?

We were in L.A. and I was hybrid for the last year. Wanted to be closer to the office :)

Oh I was just in LA. Could have helped you yell at the Chinese guys. Bay Area is cool too I guess. You can also find chinese people to yell at over there.

The funniest thing so far is that someone in my household screwed up the washing machine by putting a diaper in it. The filter is clogged now and we are going
to have to pay for a service call for someone to take the machines out, clean the filter, and put them back in. I can't do this myself. What a freaking joke
that my wife/mother-in-law/nanny broke the washing machine on day one and now we can't wash any clothes.

Come on man. Put on a dirty cut off shirt and fix it yourself. Get some respect in the household.

Lol. I wish it were that easy. I have to take the dryer off the top, pull the machines out, unscrew the back panel, pull the filter out, unclog it, reinstall,
put the machines back in, and test. I don't have time for this shit, even though I could do it. Also would void the warranty. I would rather just place a
service call and they can just do it. I'm very handy, trust me.

When our washer broke I completely misdiagnosed it as well. I thought it was a belt but in end it was whole computer board. I would have spent hours and a
hundred bucks on a fruitless job. So I am just kidding. Those are jobs for non busy bros.
