I like even more when they are not in color because it's less stimulus. I think 70s and late 60s isn't exactly "old" movie category though. I have been inclined to watch the Misfits lately to simply see the odd dynamic between Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable. I think many people would have liked to see Marilyn with a Clark type. Clark was of an older generation than Marilyn though and represented a different type of Hollywood. By then, he supposedly was wearing dentures from losing teeth from smoking, had terrible breath, and looked more aged cowboy than the handsome perfect Rhett Butler etched in the memory of fans. Him and Marilyn supposedly clashed. I myself wanted to believe Clark Gable was perfect, but yeah he was destroyed by the time the Misfits came about. It's overall interesting Marilyn wasn't into handsome men and could have never been with a Hollywood actor who out diva'd her. No offense to Joe Dimaggio and Arthur Miller, but they just weren't hot. In another life, she should have been with a Paul Newman type. Handsome, loyal, and sweet. She also seemed to like RFK more than JFK who was more attractive to women at the time.
