it’s big holiday in europe too, so i think most of the west is except the usa acknowledge it. in fact, in since my bday is in may, my grandmother used to
tease me when i wouldn’t do my chores saying this was why i was lazy. workers day may still be acknowledged in usa, but not widely known.

the usa more or less has labor day. memorial day is more for the troops. still i think some do acknowledge international workers day.
same with international women’s day. it’s talked about in the usa, but not as popular as it is in other countries.
