Those greedy landlords continue to raise rentals. Please continue to be greedy and the whole mall will become a ghost mall. Busy only during the 7th month with
only ghosts descend into the mall to do last minute shopping

It might not be because of greed for some situations. It could be rising interest rates , it could be rise I. Energy cost, salary cost, etc, for some cases
reits are sold to other buyers. As the gov welcome the super rich with minimum tax, and they choose to park the money here. When they buy high price, it takes
more $$ to pay the instalment to cover cost. So end of the day, it’s still gov fault. And who did the 65% vote for?

Sometimes I really wonder if these take over tenants and brands from china doing money laundering, cos more n more of them taking over local brands despite
increasing rental. Landlords greediness will path way for more hidden crimes.

75-year-old retiree, Mr Hoe, viewed the closures positively, saying that prices at some of the exiting stores were unaffordable

Dont be dumb lah ! Rental prices is too high and that directly caused the prices to be unaffordable to begin with! Must be a pappy supporter, thats why know
nuts about economics. Glad u retired. So dumb!

I think they need these rents to service their debt. It will take a restructuring to bring the rents down - not decreased foot traffic.
