Article that changed my life in 2012

This article as well as the story of St. Mariam Baouardy changed my life in 2012. After reading this article, I knew I could NEVER be Muslim.

https://tribune.com.pk/article/13564/can-mother-teresa-a-non-muslim-go-to-heaven

Can Mother Teresa, a non-Muslim, go to heaven?
So, Mother Teresa will be denied a place in heaven because she didn't pray or recite the kalma?

Hussain Nadim

August 24, 2012

The recent killings of Shias and blasphemy charges against a young Christian girl are not a product of some foreign militant group terrorising our peaceful
land.

The incidents of violence against minorities and sectarian groups are largely a result of the ideology that exists in all corners of our society. Whether you
are a liberal or conservative, educated or ignorant, we all share the blame for such incidents.

On this very topic, a heated argument in my class erupted when I asked a simple question to my students:
"Is Mother Teresa going to heaven?"

To my surprise, more than 80% of this educated elite answered the question with a vehement 'no'. All of those who answered in the negative explained that while
Mother Teresa was a noble woman, she was not a Muslim and, hence, could not enter heaven. This ideology is the first step towards the action of violence and
brutality.

Below is a dialogue with one of my students who represented this school of thought:

"So, Mother Teresa is not going to heaven?"

Student: "No, since she was not a Muslim."

"But she saved thousands of lives."

Student: "Well, she was to be rewarded for that in this world, but one can't enter heaven until he/she says the Kalima."

"So you’re saying only the Muslims are going to heaven, no matter how evil they are?"

Student: "Yes, evil Muslims will be punished for some time, and will be sent to heaven after the punishment."

"So, when you die, you’re going to go to heaven no matter what you do in this world, just because you we’re born a Muslim?

Student: "Yes, precisely!"

"Did you decide where you were born?"

Student: "No."

"Who decided that?"

Student: "God."
"So, God has already decided at your birth that you’re going to heaven; whereas Mother Teresa, having saved thousands of lives, will be going to hell?"

Student: "Err... I think so. God has said it in numerous places in the Holy Quran. Had the 'message' reached her and she converted to Islam, she would have been
able to enter paradise."

"Is accepting the message more important, or following the message?"

Student: "Following it, of course."

"Do you think you follow the message of Islam?"

Student: "Well, I try to, but I don’t think so."

"Do you think Mother Teresa followed the message of Islam?"

Student: "Umm, well she didn't offer namaz or read the Holy Quran, but she did follow the message."

"So, she still can’t go to heaven after having followed the message of Islam?"

Student: "I don’t know. I'll have to do further research on that."

"Forget that. Have you read the Holy Quran?"

Student (enthusiastically) : "Yes!"

"With translation or only the Arabic text?"

Student: "Arabic only."

"How do you claim that something is written in the Holy Quran when you have not really read it?"

Student: "I don’t know. I've heard about it."

"So, Mother Teresa is going to hell because you've heard from somebody that it is written in the Holy Quran, who probably heard it from somebody else?"

Student: "Hmm."

"You’re basically assuming that it is written in the Holy Quran, and assuming that Mother Teresa is not going to heaven."

Student (frustrated) : "I don’t know."

"Do you accept that without reading or understanding the Holy Quran, whatever you claim about it is mere assumption?"

Student: "Yes."

"Good. So, can Mother Teresa possibly go to heaven now that you’re not God, and do not have the absolute knowledge about the day after?"

Student: "I don’t know, may be?"

This dialogue depicts one of the root cause of most of the sectarian and religious problems in Pakistan. Our beliefs and knowledge about the world has been told
to us by someone who heard them from somebody else, and so on. In our culture, the idea of self-exploration does not exist and people have taken beliefs and
ideas to be for granted.

Moreover, we are so bogged down into petty debates that we have lost track of what really is important for our survival. We need to really get over and beyond
the petty debate about who is going to hell or heaven. There is a desperate need to change the narrative and debate in our households, classrooms, and most
importantly, our media, so we can start thinking about issues that are urgent and real. As long as our debate doesn’t change, we will continue to discriminate
against other sects and religions.

Leftists can read this article and still believe they are just like us because American liberals are taught one school of thought:

1) Defend perceived minority
2) Attack perceived majority

I thank God for every minute I found this article as it set me free from brainwashing. I had a dream of St. Augustine too and again the story of St. Mariam
Baouardy really touched me when a Muslim guy tried to take advantage of her sorrow to convert her and when she said no, she was attacked.

Basically, Muslims believe God can forgive any sin except for shirk. Shirk is polytheism and they believe everybody who is not Muslim is guilty of it. The way
they can casually condemn somebody to hell for not being their religion just didn't sit right with me. My whole life I NEVER believed somebody would be
condemned just by their background. I never looked at a friend and tried to convert them to my religion thinking they would go to hell if I did not. These guys
casually try to convert everybody and anybody.

I always believed if there is a heaven, we will be judged by our own individual merit. While all religions practice some form of exclusivity, theirs is
extreme. Put simply, all Muslims (including the 911 hijackers) will go to heaven and anybody else regardless of their good deeds will go to hell. Again, they
believe God forgives any sin including murder and rape. For example they believe somebody who raped a child will go to heaven as long as they accept Islam
before a Christian who does only charity work. This needs to be articulated to westerners who constantly simp for them.

Devout Sunni even believe Shia and Alawite worship Ali) will go to hell. Again, they do not care what good deeds you have done, you will just go straight to
hell. I was curious once so I asked some acquaintances well what about Jews who seem to only worship God. They told me Jews also do shirk with rabbis and only
maybe some Christian unitarians can enter heaven. This was bizarre that they think some leftist Christian group which is mostly boomers now who join because of
liberal views on LGBT have a chance before anybody else.

I was naive in the 10s and did not know much about these people and how much hate they have. Like I said before, I do not talk about Muslims from a place of
blind bigotry, but lived experiences. Muslims are the most warm hospitable people when they are trying to convert you.

I also recognize most are not terrorists and most are functioning members of the community, but they do recognize everybody who is not Muslim as damned. They
are not even supposed to offer condolences when a non Muslim dies or wish happy holidays for non Muslim holidays.

Also, look immediately what they did to the Alawite after the fall of Assad. Never mind, that Assad's government was not even a sectarian Alawite government and
most Alawite were still the poorest of the poor even under Assad. What gives these people the right to even think Syria should be an Islamic state? Islam is NOT
indigenous to Syria or anywhere in the Levant/Eastern Mediterranean. Islam comes from Saudi Arabia. Arab/Muslims are the true colonizers. This is why many
Lebanese Christians will say they are not Arab.

While I recognize Israel has its flaws and I certainly do not support attacks on civilians and am not here trying to be Mike Huckabee, the reality is Judaism is
indigenous to the Levant/Eastern Mediterranean. Islam is not. Islam is from Saudi Arabia and was spread west even into the Balkans where they imposed taxes so
high they forced people to convert. I realize some may point to Christianity not being Indigenous to Europe, but Emperor Constantine converted by choice.

ANOTHER THING THAT MADE ME SEE ISLAM WAS NOT THE WAY WHEN I SAW HOW THE PROPHET MOHAMAD WANTED TO DIVORCE SAWDA FOR BEING OLD.

Btw, they also casually believe in divorce and abortion. Not sure why all these liberal priests like Pizzaballa want to defend them constantly.

I was also worried about Lindsay Lohan for a while. It's one thing to get brainwashed when you are very young, but she was older showing an intense interest in
Islam. I'm happy I found out her husband is Christian not Muslim.

Believing somebody is damned to hell is not respect for their humanity. I believe a Muslim who is good can go to heaven. They sure don't believe the same about
me. They think Gandhi and Mother Teresa will be behind bin Laden. Imagine that.

Here are other articles that really stayed with me during the 10s.

A Lebanese man was given lashes for converting a woman to Christianity and a Saudi man was given lashes for helping the woman escape the country. Imagine if in
Rome, the Pope gave a man lashes for converting a woman to Islam. Liberals would have their panties in a bunch. One leftist once attacked me for posting this
article and gave me an article of Warren Jeffs. Yeah because one radical Mormon man from a fringe group is the same as a country's governement.

Saudi executed a man for "witchcraft" in 2012. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-18503550

Oh and here is the 2012 article about the 12 year old Christian girl with down syndrome being arrested in Pakistan for blasphemy. Imagine if similar happened in
Europe against a Muslim girl.

Pakistani girl with Down syndrome reportedly arrested for blasphemy https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/pakistani-girl-down-syndrome-reportedly-arrested-blasphemy-flna953757

Rimsha Masih (Urdu: رمشا مسیح — some early reports used the first name "Rifta" or "Riftah"; born 1998) is a Pakistani girl [1] from Islamabad,[2] who
was arrested by the Pakistani police on blasphemy charges in August 2012 when she was 14 years old.[3] The alleged charges included desecrating pages of the
Quran (or a book containing verses from the Quran) by burning[4][5]—a crime punishable by death under Pakistan's blasphemy law.[6] She is a member of
Pakistan's Christian minority.[6]

Two weeks after her arrest, the local imam who had reported her to police was arrested on suspicion of planting pages of religious texts in Rimsha's
bag.[7][8][9] Rimsha was eventually acquitted of all charges.[10] In mid 2013 after months of hiding, Rimsha and her family were able to escape to Canada.[11]

Here is a wikipedia on the whole case, an imam framed her too- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rimsha_Masih_blasphemy_case

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asia_Bibi_blasphemy_case

Then, I discovered the Asia Bibi case from 2010 about another Christian woman-Asia Bibi blasphemy case-In 2010, a Pakistani Christian woman, Aasiya Noreen
(Urdu: آسیہ نورین, romanized: Āsiyāh Naurīn, [ˈɑːsiɑː nɔːˈriːn]; born c. 1971),[1] commonly known as Asia Bibi (آسیہ بی بی) or
Aasiya Bibi, was convicted of blasphemy by a Pakistani court and was sentenced to death by hanging.[2] In October 2018, the Supreme Court of Pakistan acquitted
her based on insufficient evidence,[3] though she was not allowed to leave Pakistan until the verdict was reviewed.[4][5][6] She was held under armed guard and
was not able to leave the country until 7 May 2019; she arrived in Canada the next day.[7]

In June 2009, Noreen was accused of blasphemy after an argument with co-workers while harvesting berries.[8][9] She was subsequently arrested and imprisoned. In
November 2010, a Sheikhupura judge sentenced her to death by hanging.

I know this Assyrian guy and I once suggested to go to Yemeni coffee house and he answered no way. Now I know why.

Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and now Syria are perfect examples of what happens when they take over governments and run them according to sharia law.

I also respect people inherit their religious identity as I inherited mine, but I just don't understand how any Westerner could decide to become Muslim after
reading these articles. The Mother Teresa one was also written by a Muslim man critiquing his own culture. I also had to acknowledge Asia Bibi and the victims
of lashes and hangings, these cases were not about lone wolf terrorists who happen to be Muslim, but about governments imposing sharia law. That distinction
matters. Americans can say the 911 hijackers were just bad guys who happen to be Muslim, but its harder to dismiss what these governments have done.

I can even admire Muslims for being certain in their beliefs in world where it seems nobody is certain of anything these days, but again, it is not who I am.

@marlonTest here is another article for you

TikTok influencer charged with Dubai murder

A 23-year-old TikTok influencer charged with the murder of her boyfriend in Dubai is facing death by firing squad, a human rights group has said.

Brooke George, from Gravesend, Kent, has been charged over the stabbing of a man who she was in a relationship with after they met online, advocacy group
Detained in Dubai said.

The group said she claimed she grabbed a knife in self-defence during a violent attack by her partner in the UAE. The organisation called for her to be released
on bail and for the case to be dealt with as domestic violence.

The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office said it was supporting a British woman detained in the UAE and her family.

Former John Lewis worker George was arrested in the early hours of 22 June and charged with premeditated murder.

She faces execution under UAE laws if convicted.

While being held at Bur Dubai Police Station, she has alleged being forced to strip naked in front of male officers, without a female officer present, which she
said was "deeply humiliating and distressing", Detained in Dubai said.

'Change in behaviour'
On her first visit to Dubai, George had described it as "the time of my life".

But, according to Radha Stirling, chief executive of Detained in Dubai, the relationship became abusive on their second trip to the Gulf city.

Stirling said George claimed her partner became "increasingly controlling and abusive" and she was trying to leave Dubai after he allegedly punched her, witheld
her passport and then attacked her again at their apartment.

She claimed she "feared for her life and, reaching for a kitchen knife within her grasp, acted in self-defence", Stirling added.

In a statement, her mother Thereza George said: "After Brooke returned to Dubai for the second time, the dynamic between them had clearly changed.

"The day before the incident, she did not seem like herself. She was quieter and not her usual happy, cheerful self, but she did not tell me why.

"That evening they went to a bar in Dubai. When I spoke to Brooke right after the incident, she was absolutely terrified. I have never seen my daughter so
frightened in my life. She was crying uncontrollably. I could see that one of her eyes was badly swollen and was beginning to close."

She added she was "deeply concerned" for her daughter's welfare.

"The daughter I spoke to that night was utterly terrified," she said. "I firmly believe she was desperately trying to get home and away from whatever had
happened to her."

Stirling said: "Those closest to Brooke became increasingly concerned that she may have been lured to Dubai under false pretences for the purpose of
exploitation.

"Their concerns were fuelled by his unexplained change in behaviour, the one-way ticket, the bikini-clad professional photo shoot arranged during her first
visit, the alleged withholding of her passport, Brooke telling friends that 'things weren't right', and her growing fear that she needed to escape."

Legal rights
Detained in Dubai said George had not been given access to her embassy and had to make statements without a lawyer present.

The case "raises serious concerns about violence against women, the right to self-defence, due process and the treatment of British nationals detained
overseas", Stirling said.

She added: "We are calling for Brooke to be released on bail pending the outcome of the investigation. The UAE has a well-documented history of criminalising
and revictimising women who report violence."

Detained in Dubai has called for George to receive "protection, appropriate medical care, legal representation and immediate British consular assistance while
the investigation proceeds".

In a statement, the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office said: "We are in touch with a British woman detained in the UAE, we are supporting her family,
and we are in contact with the local authorities."

@marlonTest here is another Apprentice star Selina's Dubai hell

Apprentice star and entrepreneur Selina is facing a hefty jail sentence if she doesn’t pay out £27,750 GBP in a bounced cheque case - though she never wrote
any cheque.

The South African man has been harassing and extorting Selina since 2019, prompting her to file a complaint with the Dubai Police. This man used legal loopholes
in the UAE to set up the case against her while she was abroad on vacation, submitting false contact information for Selina so that the court never reached out
to her. Consequently, she failed to make an appearance at the court hearing and was declared guilty without any further examination of his ‘evidence’.

@marlonTest We mostly have Assyrians in Chicago not many Chaldeans. I think the
difference is Chaldeans are mostly Catholic and Assyrians Orthodox. Otherwise, similar. Anyway, yeah people who have grown up as minorities in Muslim majority
countries can be odd. They are overall pretty tribal in Chicago, similar to how Armenians and Persians are in Los Angeles. I once went to an Assyrian club
called Juliana. It was interesting lets just say. They tend to live in Skokie mostly which is also heavily a Jewish community. We do have some Chaldean
churches, but again nearly all the Iraqi Christians I have known have been Assyrian. Even Scottie Pippen was married to an Assyrian girl.
