Years ago when I was on La Rambla, it was many many migrants. Nafris for a while seemed like they were no longer interested in coming to Southern Europe. I used to see many then seems like they died down for a while. Now many are coming back. I saw this the other day. Years ago, I met a Moroccan guy on the beach here who told me he crossed over in a boat. He was a merchant on the beach I would chat with frequently. I still have him on FB. I think he went back to Morocco. My neighbor here who died was also married to some Moroccan dude. This guy was here for years. I didn’t find out he was Moroccan until 2009 because he didn’t really look Moroccan and learned to speak the dialect. Anyway, he went back to Morocco (Rabat I believe) after his wife died because he already had conflict with all these people. His brother in law was murdered and they accused him even though he wasn’t in town at the time and really had no motive. He was later proven innocent when they found the real killer and he tried like suing the local newspaper. His reputation still never recovered. The migrants I see frequently now include mostly Sub Saharan Africans and oddly a good number of Bengalis. The other day I was looking at this waitress who I believe must have been Ivorian. It made me realize how different pure African phenotypes are from African Americans who usually carry 5-20 percent British Isles or NW European. Her phenotype was actually beautiful. What’s sad about Europe is that many countries (at least the larger cities) will become so heavily diluted there will be no more local culture. While the USA was always heterogenous since inception, homogenous countries will start to seem unrecognizable and that’s sad. When I think of Paris now, I no longer even think of French culture but of Nafris lol. The fact that Zidane (Algerian origin) will be France’s national coach says all I need to know. Granted Zidane married a white woman and gave his kids all white names. Still though.
