I'm located northwest. The Robert Taylor homes were more on the south side. I'm not a south sider. lol. I knew the Robert Taylor Homes and the Cabrini Greens
were mostly torn down when I was growing up. BTW, not all areas of the south and west side are bad. There are some upscale suburbs on the south side too and
decent suburbs west. For example, Oak Park is a west suburb.
This is a funny rap song that mentions the Taylor street ends (Robert Taylor) homes and other projects and gangs of Chicago. Great song and very catchy.

Anyway, Chicago isn't that bad. Even if you are on the Southside or westside, most people would be scared to mess with you. It's mostly gangs fighting other
gangs. Sadly, innocent people sometimes do get caught in the crossfires.
All the same, I found downtown Dallas scarier than Chicago. It's sad Chicago gets such a bad reputation because there are beautiful parts of the city and nice
suburbs too. However, because the politics here are crappy, conservative media really want to make Chicago seem like Chiraq.

Also the show Shamless showed white people on the Southside who were alcoholics. There is that element too and the SNL Da Bears accent is a Southside accent
too. We not not have that accent on the Northside.
