I guess once the Final Boomer retires or reaches the normal age to retire, we'll also be at this benefit cliff, and can proceed to raise taxes on Gen X poors, millennial Losers, and zoomer browns. The idea of it "going away" is pretty dumb because that's never happened to benefits at any point in history, and people have been talking about UBI for like 15 years as if it's an inevitability. imo it'll be, or "should" be, a combination of funding from general tax revenue, raising the wage base limit, and then also having to raise the FICA withholding and/or employer share.
