A 65-year-old woman was arrested for murder after a victim was found dead following an “unknown trouble” call for service.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the call came in at 9:47 a.m. Friday regarding an incident in the 35000 block of Gateway Drive in Palm
Desert.
The location provided by authorities is on a road within a shopping center adjacent to a small gated community south of the Monterey Avenue exit off the 10
Freeway.
“Upon arrival, deputies located a subject suffering from traumatic injuries consistent with a physical assault,” RCSO said in a press release issued
Saturday. “The subject was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The sheriff’s office’s Central Homicide Unit located the suspect at the scene and took her into custody without incident. She was identified as 65-year-old

Kim, a Palm Desert resident, was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center for murder.
The identity of the decedent has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit has assumed control of the investigation.
