Boomer leftist American priests like this current pope and Cardinal Cupich want to sell churches to Muslims though and say people need to be less afraid of
Islam. The point isn't to be like Pamela Gellar or some of these other anti Muslim influencers who talk about Islam nonstop, but go see if the Muslim imams
would allow a mosque to be converted to a church or if they preach anything other that converting others. The boomers were really a terrible far left generation
that destroyed the world. They watched 911, were in power at the time, and will still call anybody who doesn't want their city or all of Europe to become
Istanbul a "racist." Never mind that Islam is not even a race. There should have been an Italian pope not some guy like Robert Francis Prevost.

American Catholics are also terrible people. The early millennials who were still one of the last generations to get married and have families at high rates
think their participation in the church simply because they send their brats to Catholic school or because they grew up in Catholic school makes them a voice.
think everybody who cares about history or doesn’t want a church being destroyed is like their racist Irish American uncle. When some of the parishioners in
this neighborhood spoke out against a historic church being sold to a Muslim group, these assholes immediately hit them with accusations of being racist. They
ignored the fact that there was opposition to this church closure and numerous appeals long before any buyer (religious or secular) came forth. The comments on
FB comment sections were just nasty. I had this one early millennial Italian American guy who isn’t even from around here, but whose father was some mayor of
some small west suburban town start talking all this shit. This dude was a creep. Married to a woman with kids, but with all these BLM and gay flags on his
Facebook. These are the children of the boomers. Them and their parents are just lame white people who have decided that all Muslims are great because a nice
lady in hijab smiles at them or because the Arab guy in the Yemeni coffee house is nice and hospitable. I can admit that Arabs and Muslims are hospitable people
without wanting churches converted to mosques and while acknowledging the history of Arab and Muslim expansion in the west. These American whites are the kinds
who like people like Robert Prevost aka Pope Leo. Btw I know many disliked Pope Francis. I actually liked Pope Francis. He was always warm even to people he
disagreed with. I can’t say the same about Pope Leo. He has a coldness and seems just like a leftist activist not simply somebody wanting to support
immigrants of all backgrounds because Jesus would be welcoming.
Pope Leo aka Robert Prevost and Cardinal Pizzaballa and Cardinal Cupich should have stayed activists and not became priests. Pizzaballa was especially
alienating in some of his commentary recently in response to the Trump admin such as when politicians in the USA wanted to invite the Holy Father for
Independence Day here.

They will also defend far left priests without acknowledging that many of these far left cardinals like Cardinal Blase Cupich sold so many church assets for
sexual assault lawsuits and did everything in their power to discredit victims and alienate so many from church.

There is another interesting town in Italy called Guardia Piemontese. It used to be in the 11th century where there would be a lookout for Arab pirates. These
Arab pirates were called Sarecens.

Later on in the 14th century, there was this sect of Protestants called the Waldensians who settled there. The Waldensians were originally from Lyon, France.
When Italy was then under Spanish control, the Spaniards executed many of the Waldensians as heretics. There still is a minority of Waldensians in Calabria.

I also have origins in an ethnic group called the Arbëreshë. The town my father's family came from was settled about 500 years ago by a group of Catholic Gheg
Albanian soldiers who fought in Skanderbeg's army and later settled in Italy before unification. My familial village is the earliest settled Arbëreshë town
and a bit different from later settled villages that are mostly Tosk and Eastern rite or Orthodox. My village was always Catholic and Albania itself was a
Catholic country. Today, its many Muslims from people who were forced to convert. Many of these Muslims were not religious, but still maintained a Muslim
identity to avoid persecution. I now read some reports that many that many of these Muslims in Kosovo are reverting back to Catholicism, the religion of their
ancestors.
